Compare
MIOSA vs other platforms
A factual comparison against the sandbox and agent platforms our customers evaluate most. Every number is from the independent ComputeSDK benchmark; every competitor description is from the vendor's own public documentation. Where a fact is uncertain, it is left out.
MIOSA is a runtime platform for AI products. The platforms below are the ones it is most often measured against. This section is meant to help you pick the right tool, not to score points: several of these products are excellent at what they do, and for some jobs one of them is the better choice.
Two kinds of evidence appear here and nowhere else:
- Measured performance from the independent ComputeSDK benchmark, run the same way against every provider. The latest figures are from October 9, 2026.
- Product capabilities that MIOSA documents in this site, each linked.
Competitor descriptions use each vendor’s own public documentation and are stated as of October 2026. Vendor docs and pricing change; check them before you decide.
Where MIOSA stands
In the latest independent run (ComputeSDK, October 9, 2026), MIOSA ranked #1 of 30 on sandbox burst startup, the time from a create request to the first successful command inside a fresh sandbox, under 100 concurrent creates:
| Metric | MIOSA | Date |
|---|---|---|
| Burst startup, median time-to-interactive | 117.93 ms (#1 of 30) | 2026-10-09 |
| Burst startup, p95 / p99 | 130.72 ms / 132.13 ms | 2026-10-09 |
| Burst startup, success | 100 / 100 | 2026-10-09 |
Every figure is a committed JSON file in the open ComputeSDK repository. See Benchmarks for the full leaderboard, method, and reproduction steps.

Full-build workload (DAX)
The DAX suite measures a full production build inside a fresh sandbox: clone, install, typecheck, timed end to end. Lower is better. On the most recent run MIOSA did not complete, so it has no ranking there; on the August 28, 2026 run MIOSA was #1.
| Provider | DAX build, 2026-08-28 | DAX build, 2026-10-09 | As of |
|---|---|---|---|
| MIOSA | 39.3 s (#1 of 19) | no result | 2026-10-09 |
| isorun | 39.5 s | 34.5 s | 2026-10-09 |
| Vercel Sandbox | 69.7 s | 80.0 s | 2026-10-09 |

What MIOSA adds
Beyond the sandbox itself, these are the capabilities this site documents, and where each competitor sits is best checked in that vendor’s own docs:
- Persistent computers with full Linux desktops - browser, mouse, keyboard, screenshots, and human handoff, not just a headless shell. See Computers.
- Deployments and App Engine - ship a sandbox to an immutable, versioned URL, or run many customer apps as containers. See Deployments.
- White-label platform - your brand, domains, tenants, and end users on top of MIOSA. See White-label setup.
- One interface for everyone - MCP, a CLI, and six SDKs over the same API. See MCP, CLI, and SDKs.
- Managed data - Postgres, Redis, MySQL, and Qdrant with connection injection. See Data.
- Regions and your own hardware - MIOSA-managed regions and OpenComputers for machines you own. See Regions and OpenComputers.
