MIOSA vs E2B

Both run untrusted code in isolated sandboxes for AI agents. This page compares them on the independent ComputeSDK benchmark and on the capabilities MIOSA documents.

What E2B is

E2B provides open-source sandboxes for AI agents to execute code, described in its public documentation at e2b.dev/docs (as of October 2026). It is a well-established choice for code-interpreter style workloads and has a broad SDK surface.

Measured performance

The independent ComputeSDK benchmark runs the same workload against every provider.

Where MIOSA differs

These capabilities are documented for MIOSA on this site:

  • Persistent computers with a desktop, not only a headless sandbox. See Computers.
  • Deployments and App Engine, so a sandbox becomes a versioned URL or a containerized app. See Deployments.
  • White-label platform, so your customers see your brand and domains. See White-label setup.
  • One interface for everyone: MCP, a CLI, and six SDKs. See MCP, CLI, SDKs.
  • Managed data with connection injection. See Data.

When to choose each

  • Choose E2B if you want an open-source, code-interpreter-first sandbox with a mature SDK and a large community, and you do not need desktops, deployments, or a white-label platform in the same product.
  • Choose MIOSA if you want one platform for code sandboxes, full computers, agent runs, deployments, managed data, and a branded multi-tenant surface, with the measured startup figures above.
